Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Thursday unveiled key projects in Mushin Local Government Area and assured residents of more dividends of democracy through developmental projects.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the projects unveiled are Abibat Mogaji Market (formerly known as Mushin Market) and Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon Ultra-Modern Office complex.
Sanwo-Olu was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.
The complex accommodates several Federal Government agencies and a radio station.
Sanwo-Olu, who described the projects as transformative, stressed that such developmental projects would raise the standard of living of residents.
The governor lauded the outgoing Mushin Local Government chairman, Emmanuel Bamigboye, for his leadership and commitment to delivering dividends of democracy to the residents.
“We are really very happy that we are delivering the dividends of democracy to residents. I am sure residents will find it easy and convenient to access any of the federal agencies in the complex.
“Anyone who needs anything from these federal agencies can approach them and do their business with ease,” he said.
The governor added that the radio station would serve as a platform for disseminating information about Mushin and its environs, among other things.
Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence that the newly elected chairman, Haruna Aruwe, would perform well.
“The newly elected chairman is already part of the system. He has learnt a lot, and I am sure he will do well.
“The outgoing chairman has set high standards for the incoming chairman. So, we expect double of what Bamgboye has done; In four years, it must be doubled,” the governor said.
