
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended heartfelt congratulations to his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, as he marks his 61st birthday.
In a goodwill message released on Thursday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded Dr. Hamzat’s unwavering commitment to public service and his invaluable contributions to the progress of Lagos State.
Describing the Deputy Governor as a dependable ally, Sanwo-Olu referred to him as not only a trusted colleague but also a brother and friend whose partnership has been instrumental to the administration’s achievements.
“Dr. Hamzat is a seasoned technocrat, a visionary administrator, and a selfless leader whose dedication to the people of Lagos remains exemplary,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He noted that the harmonious working relationship between them has continued to yield positive outcomes in governance and has enhanced service delivery across the state.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and good people of Lagos State, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), and members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I celebrate Dr. Obafemi Hamzat on this special occasion,” the governor said. “His loyalty, brilliance, and passion for development are qualities we deeply appreciate.”
Dr. Hamzat, who turns 61 on Friday, has served in various capacities within the Lagos State Government and is widely respected for his expertise in governance and policy implementation.
Highlighting their strong working relationship, Sanwo-Olu credited Hamzat’s professionalism and collaborative spirit as key factors behind many of the administration’s policy successes and infrastructure projects.
