
The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, today joined dignitaries, family, and friends to celebrate the 90th Birthday Thanksgiving Service of Sir (Dr.) Kessington Adebutu, CFR, held in Lagos. The event was a joyful and momentous occasion, honoring a man whose life has been defined by hard work, philanthropy, and an enduring commitment to the service of humanity.
In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu described Sir Kessington Adebutu as a rare gem whose remarkable contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria have left an indelible mark. He noted that the nonagenarian’s legacy of enterprise, generosity, and community development continues to serve as an inspiration to both the older and younger generations.
“Today, we are gathered to celebrate a distinguished Nigerian whose life story reflects the virtues of diligence, perseverance, and compassion,” the Governor said. “Sir Adebutu’s journey is one that demonstrates that success is most meaningful when it uplifts others.
