Today, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed his colleague Governors from the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) to Lagos for a high-level meeting focused on strengthening security, stabilizing the economy, and enhancing the overall well-being of Nigerians. The gathering provided an opportunity for the Governors to reflect on national challenges and align on collective actions to support citizens during this critical period.
In their discussions on national security, the Governors reiterated their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to reinforce the country’s security architecture. They emphasized that ensuring the safety of all citizens remains their foremost responsibility. The Forum agreed to intensify collaboration across federal, state, and community levels, particularly in improving community-based security strategies that can help prevent crime and respond swiftly to emerging threats.

In response, the Forum collectively committed to boosting food production, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, expanding opportunities for youth employment, and implementing targeted interventions to ease the burden on vulnerable families. They expressed deep appreciation for the resilience, patience, and resourcefulness of Nigerians during this transitional period.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) and advance the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Governors affirmed that their shared mission is to continue delivering tangible improvements in the lives of citizens while building a safer, more prosperous, and more inclusive nation.
