Today, I had the pleasure of attending the Lagos Food Festival, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was alive with excitement, colour, and creativity. It was wonderful to connect with people, feel the pulse of the city, and witness the incredible diversity of food that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Lagos.
The festival was a vibrant showcase of what Lagos does best—bold flavours, innovation, and an unmatchable sense of community. From traditional favourites to modern culinary twists, every corner of the festival celebrated the creativity and passion of our food vendors, chefs, and entrepreneurs. When it comes to flavour, Lagos never disappoints, and this event proved once again that our city knows how to show up in style.
I also had some fun of my own—I cooked. Literally. I stepped in to show a bit of my cooking skills, and I’m happy to say the food tasted fantastic. It was a lighthearted moment that added to the joy of the day and reminded us all that food is not just about nourishment, but also about connection, storytelling, and shared experiences.
Beyond the food, there was great music, laughter everywhere, and an infectious energy that brought everyone together. The vibe was unmistakably Lagos—dynamic, youthful, and full of life. As the young people would say, when it comes to showcasing the energy of this city—the food, the music, the atmosphere—involve me.
Lagos has a spirit that cannot be imitated or manufactured. It is authentic, resilient, and endlessly creative. Events like the Lagos Food Festival capture that spirit perfectly and remind us why Lagos is not just a city, but a lifestyle.
