Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu attended the burial ceremony of Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and father of Mrs. Toyin Ojora Saraki, to pay his last respects to a respected Lagos traditional titleholder and elder statesman.
The solemn event brought together family members, traditional leaders, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the life and legacy of a man widely regarded for his dignity, service, and enduring contributions to Lagos society. Governor Sanwo-Olu joined others in celebrating a life marked by honour, responsibility, and deep commitment to the values of family and community.
Describing the late Otunba Adekunle Ojora as a man of substance and grace, the Governor noted that his passing represents a significant loss, not only to the Ojora family of Lagos but also to the broader traditional and social fabric of the state. He emphasized that Otunba Ojora lived a life that earned him widespread respect across generations.
“Otunba Adekunle Ojora will be remembered for the honour he brought to his family and the dignity with which he carried his traditional title,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said. “His life reflected strong values, quiet leadership, and a commitment to preserving the heritage and unity of Lagos.”
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ojora family of Lagos, with special words of sympathy to Mrs. Toyin Ojora Saraki and the entire family, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult period. He urged them to take solace in the impactful life their patriarch lived and the positive memories he leaves behind.
