Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on the occasion of her 70th birthday, describing her as a distinguished public servant whose life has been dedicated to service and progressive values.
Speaking on behalf of his wife, family, the Lagos State Government, and the people of the state, as well as leaders and members of the Governance Advisory Council and the All Progressives Congress (APC), the governor praised Princess Sosan for her remarkable contributions to governance, education, and politics over more than three decades.
He noted that while many remember her primarily as a former Deputy Governor, her journey in public service began long before she assumed higher office. Princess Sosan built a solid career in the Ministry of Education, where she served as a teacher, administrator, and board member for over 20 years. During this period, she played a key role in shaping young minds and strengthening the state’s education system through steady and committed service.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also highlighted her unwavering dedication to progressive politics. From the formative years of the progressive movement to the growth and consolidation of the APC, Princess Sosan has remained loyal and active. He described her as a grassroots politician who consistently contributed at every level of party organization, from the ward to the national stage.
According to the governor, her life reflects discipline, loyalty, and a strong belief in public service as a tool for development. He added that her 70th birthday places her among a special group of leaders whose experiences continue to inspire younger generations in politics and governance.
Governor Sanwo-Olu offered prayers for her continued good health, renewed strength, and many more years of meaningful impact on Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
