
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to taking governance closer to the people with the inauguration of Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Lagos.
Speaking at the event, the Governor described the inauguration as a strategic step toward deepening engagement with communities and ensuring that the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda are understood, embraced, and translated into practical outcomes at the grassroots. He emphasized that development can only be meaningful when citizens are actively involved in shaping and monitoring the policies that affect their daily lives.
According to him, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will serve as vital links between government and residents, helping to communicate policies, gather feedback, and strengthen trust across all local government areas. He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to see their roles as a call to service, not just a political assignment, stressing that their success will be measured by how effectively they listen to the people and respond to their concerns.
The Governor noted that Lagos continues to grow rapidly, making it even more important to build a system where every community feels heard and included. He added that the Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on improving the quality of life of residents through better infrastructure, economic opportunities, and social services, but its impact depends on strong collaboration between government and citizens.
