
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, earlier today welcomed the leadership of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria to Lagos House, Marina, during a courtesy visit led by the Society’s National President, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN.
During the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed appreciation for the longstanding contributions of Ansar-Ud-Deen to the social and spiritual development of Lagos and Nigeria at large. He acknowledged the Society’s role in promoting education, moral values, and community service—pillars that align closely with his administration’s vision for inclusive development.
“Our conversation reflected deeply rooted shared values—of faith, service, and community,” Sanwo-Olu noted. “These are the same principles that continue to strengthen the fabric of our society and drive sustainable progress in Lagos.”
The Governor reaffirmed the state’s support for faith-based organizations that contribute positively to societal well-being, especially in areas like education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
Prince Adeniji Kazeem, in his remarks, thanked the Governor for his openness and ongoing commitment to engaging religious and civil society groups in the development process.
The visit further cemented the longstanding relationship between the Lagos State Government and the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, built on mutual respect and a shared vision of societal upliftment.
During the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the historic and continued impact of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society in promoting education, religious tolerance, and community-based development. He commended the group for its unwavering commitment to uplifting lives through spiritual guidance, social responsibility, and educational advancement—particularly among youth and underserved communities.
“Our discussion today centered around values that both the Lagos State Government and Ansar-Ud-Deen hold dear—faith, public service, and the development of our communities,” Sanwo-Olu said. “These are the pillars that sustain our society and foster a more inclusive and prosperous Lagos.”
He reiterated his administration’s openness to engaging with faith-based organizations whose work complements the government’s efforts in sectors such as education, health, and social welfare. According to the Governor, the state’s collaboration with religious institutions is essential to achieving grassroots impact and ensuring no one is left behind.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also acknowledged the Society’s role in advocating peace, religious harmony,and moral discipline across the country, noting that such value are needed now more than ever to sustain national unity and collective progess.
