Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, joined stakeholders, designers, and industry leaders at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) for the ceremonial Closing Gong event marking the 15th anniversary of Lagos Fashion Week. The event celebrated a decade and a half of creativity, innovation, and the growing global influence of Lagos as a fashion capital in Africa.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the visionaries and creative entrepreneurs who have contributed to the growth of Lagos Fashion Week, noting that their work has positioned Lagos as a global hub for style, design, and artistic expression. Adding a touch of international glamour to the celebration, Grammy Award-winning American singer and songwriter Ciara joined the festivities. Ciara, who is visiting Lagos, expressed her admiration for the city’s energy, creativity, and culture. Her presence underscored Lagos’s growing reputation as a destination for global talent and cultural engagement.
