
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, joined the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, at an event organised by NorthWest Petroleum & Gas Co. Limited.
The gathering brought together government officials, business leaders and stakeholders in the petroleum and gas industry, highlighting the important role of private-sector investment in strengthening Nigeria’s economy.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s participation underscored the Lagos State Government’s commitment to supporting businesses and creating an enabling environment for investment and economic growth.
The NorthWest Petroleum & Gas Co. Limited event also provided an opportunity to highlight the contributions of indigenous companies to Nigeria’s energy sector and their role in creating jobs, supporting local businesses and contributing to national development.
Sanwo-Olu has consistently emphasised the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector in driving sustainable economic growth. He noted that major investments in Lagos demonstrate the confidence businesses have in the state’s economic potential.
The Governor reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to policies and initiatives that make Lagos attractive to investors while promoting an environment where businesses can operate, expand and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
He said continued investments in key sectors would help strengthen the economy, create opportunities for young Nigerians and improve the overall wellbeing of citizens.
