The Coalition of 92 Civil Organizations, under the leadership of its President, Olanrewaju AbdulRazaq, warmly congratulates Hon. Adato on his emergence as the Deputy Governorship Candidate in Kwara State.
We consider this development an important moment in the political journey of a young man who has consistently demonstrated commitment, hard work and a genuine interest in public service.
Hon. Adato is not entering this new phase as a stranger to leadership. As the lawmaker representing Offa in the Kwara State House of Assembly, he has had the opportunity to understand the realities of governance from the legislative side and to engage directly with the people he represents.
Leadership is not simply about occupying an office. It is about responsibility, understanding the needs of citizens, listening to different voices and having the courage to make decisions in the interest of the people. These are qualities that must be encouraged whenever we see them emerging in public life.
Adato’s journey is therefore worthy of attention.
His progression from the State House of Assembly to the Deputy Governorship ticket demonstrates that political experience can create opportunities for greater responsibility. It also gives the people of Kwara another opportunity to examine the record, character and capacity of a public servant who has already taken on the responsibility of representing his constituents.
The Coalition of 92 Civil Organizations believes that Kwara State deserves leadership that places development, accountability, peace, opportunity and the welfare of citizens at the centre of governance.
We believe public office should be used to build institutions, create opportunities for young people, support communities and ensure that ordinary citizens have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
As civil society organisations, we recognise the importance of constructive political participation. We also believe that leaders should be encouraged when they demonstrate the willingness to serve and contribute to the development of their communities.
For this reason, we welcome Hon. Adato’s emergence and express our confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the next chapter of Kwara’s development.
This is not merely a celebration of a political position. It is a recognition of a journey built through public service and responsibility.
We congratulate Hon. Adato and wish him wisdom, courage and strength as he begins this new chapter.
Kwara’s future requires leaders who are prepared to serve.
Adato has shown that he is prepared to serve.
Signed:
Olanrewaju AbdulRazaq
