Independent Political Action, under the coordination of Ishaia Afolabi, has announced the adoption and support of Hon. Adato, following his emergence as the Deputy Governorship Candidate in Kwara State.
This decision is informed by our belief that public leadership should be encouraged when individuals with political experience, grassroots understanding and a record of service are presented with opportunities to take on greater responsibility.
Hon. Adato has already served the people of Offa as their representative in the Kwara State House of Assembly. His experience in the legislature provides him with an understanding of the responsibilities that come with representing citizens and participating in the governance of a state.
His emergence as Deputy Governorship Candidate is therefore not simply another political announcement. It represents the continuation of a political journey that has taken him from legislative representation towards a broader leadership responsibility.
Independent Political Action believes that political participation must be based on issues, competence, character and the capacity to serve.
We also believe that citizens should pay attention to the individuals who seek their mandate and examine their records carefully.
In Adato, we see a public servant with the opportunity to contribute at a higher level.
Kwara State has important challenges ahead. The state requires leadership capable of addressing development, infrastructure, education, employment, economic opportunities, security and the welfare of its citizens.
These challenges require people who understand governance and are willing to work.

They require leaders who can collaborate.
And, importantly, they require leaders who understand that political office is a responsibility to the people.
We believe Adato has the opportunity to demonstrate these qualities as he progresses into this new phase.
