Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back to Lagos following his working vacation in France.
Governor Sanwo-Olu received the President at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos, where he expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Nigerian leader back to the state.
The Governor described the President’s return to Lagos as a welcome development, extending warm greetings to him after his time in France.
Sanwo-Olu, in his message, said it was always a pleasure to have the President back in Lagos, while expressing the state’s readiness to receive him.
The President’s working visit to France provided an opportunity for engagements outside Nigeria before his return to the country. His arrival in Lagos was marked by the reception from the Lagos State Governor and other officials.
The Governor used the occasion to reaffirm his respect and goodwill towards the President, while highlighting the significance of his presence in Lagos.
“Welcome back, Your Excellency,” Sanwo-Olu said, expressing his happiness over the President’s return to the state.
President Tinubu’s return comes as the Federal Government continues to implement policies and programmes aimed at addressing economic development, infrastructure, investment and other national priorities.
Lagos, as Nigeria’s commercial hub and one of the country’s major centres of economic activity, remains an important location for national and international engagements involving the President.
Governor Sanwo-Olu has maintained a close working relationship with the Federal Government on issues concerning Lagos and the wider development of the country.
The Governor, on behalf of the Lagos State Government and residents, welcomed President Tinubu back to Lagos and wished him a successful continuation of his official responsibilities.
He also expressed the hope that the President’s return would further strengthen ongoing collaboration between the Federal Government and Lagos State in advancing development initiatives.
