President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia, saying he used the spiritual exercise to pray for Nigeria and its citizens.
Tinubu disclosed this in a message shared on his official Instagram page, where he described the pilgrimage as a deeply spiritual moment and an opportunity to seek divine intervention for the country.
The President said he was grateful for the privilege of performing the lesser pilgrimage in the holy land, adding that he offered prayers for Nigeria, its leadership and the well-being of its people.
According to him, his supplications focused on lasting peace, national unity, security and prosperity for the country.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would protect Nigerians, strengthen the bond among citizens and bless the collective efforts towards building a better and more prosperous nation.
Tinubu also asked Allah to grant the country wisdom and strength in the discharge of responsibilities, particularly in the pursuit of national development and good governance.
In his message, the President expressed hope that Nigeria would overcome its challenges and achieve greater stability, progress and unity.
He further prayed that Allah would accept his acts of worship and supplications, describing the spiritual exercise as an opportunity to seek blessings for the nation.
The President concluded his message with a prayer for divine acceptance, saying, “May He grant us wisdom and strength in the service of our nation and accept our Ibadah. Ameen.”
Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which Muslims undertake to seek spiritual renewal, forgiveness and blessings.
Tinubu’s message comes amid ongoing national conversations about security, economic challenges and the need for unity among Nigerians.
His prayers have also highlighted the importance of peace, collective responsibility and divine guidance in the country’s journey towards a more prosperous future.
