The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday received the Swedish State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Diana Janse, during a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between Sweden and Lagos.
During the visit, both parties engaged in discussions aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas that support sustainable development and economic growth. Key sectors highlighted included trade, investment, technology, infrastructure, and climate-friendly initiatives. Sanwo-Olu used the opportunity to showcase Lagos as a leading economic hub in Africa, emphasizing its strategic position as a gateway for investment into Nigeria and the broader West African region. On her part, Janse expressed appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged the importance of Lagos in Nigeria’s economic landscape.
