Today, I join young people across Lagos and around the world in celebrating International Youth Day, a day that recognises the energy, creativity, resilience and potential of young people in shaping our collective future.
The drive, determination and innovative spirit of our young people remain a major part of what keeps Lagos moving forward. Across technology, entrepreneurship, business, education, sports, entertainment, culture and community development, young Lagosians continue to break new ground, create opportunities and make meaningful contributions to our society.
As a government, we remain committed to creating an enabling environment where young people can develop their talents, pursue their dreams and participate meaningfully in the growth and development of our State. Through skills development, entrepreneurship support, digital innovation, education and other youth-focused initiatives, we will continue to invest in the potential of our young people.
To every young Lagosian pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, building something new and making us proud, I urge you to keep believing in yourselves. Your ideas matter. Your voices matter. Your contributions matter.
The future of Lagos belongs to all of us, and our young people will play a central role in shaping the Lagos we aspire to build. With determination, hard work, creativity and the right opportunities, there is no limit to what you can achieve.
On this International Youth Day, I celebrate your courage, ambition and dreams. Continue to learn, innovate, collaborate and remain committed to making a positive difference.
Happy International Youth Day to all our young people. The future is bright, and together, we will build it.
