
Earlier today, I joined family, friends and well-wishers at the 70th birthday thanksgiving service of a distinguished son of Lagos and former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Babatunde Fowler.
Mr. Babatunde Fowler has dedicated decades to impactful public service, making significant contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria. His time in public service, particularly his work in transforming the revenue system in Lagos, demonstrated the value of innovative leadership, accountability and a strong commitment to public administration.
His contributions at the national level further reflected his dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s revenue system and advancing effective governance. His career remains a testament to the impact that visionary and purposeful leadership can have on society.
As we celebrate this important milestone, I commend Mr. Fowler for his years of service, commitment and contributions to the progress of our dear State and country.
On behalf of the government and the good people of Lagos State, I extend my warmest congratulations to him on attaining this remarkable age of 70.
I pray that Almighty God continues to bless him with many more years of good health, peace, happiness and fulfilment. May the years ahead be filled with greater joy, renewed strength and the opportunity to continue inspiring others.
