
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has received an Honorary Fellowship Award from the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) at the 2026 Management Roundtable.
The award recognises the governor’s contributions to public service, leadership and efforts towards strengthening governance and institutional development in Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of building sustainable governance structures that would continue to deliver progress beyond the tenure of any administration.
According to the governor, effective governance should not depend solely on the individuals in power but on strong institutions, established systems and policies capable of sustaining development over time.
He noted that his administration was committed to laying solid foundations for lasting progress in Lagos State, ensuring that future governments could build on existing achievements rather than start afresh.
