
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined Vice President Kashim Shettima for the official commissioning of the new corporate head office of NorthWest Petroleum & Gas Co. Limited in Lagos.
The commissioning ceremony brought together government officials, business leaders and stakeholders in the petroleum and gas industry to mark the completion of the company’s new corporate facility.
Sanwo-Olu described the investment as a positive development for Lagos, noting that the continued establishment and expansion of major businesses in the state reflects the confidence investors have in the Lagos economy.
The Governor said the presence of companies such as NorthWest Petroleum & Gas Co. Limited contributes to economic activity, creates employment opportunities and strengthens the state’s position as a major commercial and investment destination.
He noted that the Lagos State Government remains committed to creating an enabling environment where businesses can operate efficiently, expand their investments and contribute meaningfully to the development of the local economy.
According to Sanwo-Olu, attracting and retaining private-sector investment remains important to the state’s economic growth, particularly as Lagos continues to position itself as a leading hub for commerce, industry and entrepreneurship.
The Governor also emphasised the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector in driving sustainable economic development. He said the government would continue to support initiatives that encourage investment, enterprise development and job creation across different sectors of the economy.
Sanwo-Olu congratulated the management and staff of NorthWest Petroleum & Gas Co. Limited on the commissioning of the new corporate head office and expressed optimism that the company would continue to expand its operations and contribute to the growth of Lagos and Nigeria.
