The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the release of a supplementary list of appointments to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), in a strategic move aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational structure and nationwide mobilisation ahead of the general elections.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, through a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who explained that the additional appointments would enhance coordination across various directorates, sectoral groups and operational units of the campaign council.
According to the APC, the supplementary list reflects its determination to establish an inclusive and effective campaign structure capable of coordinating political activities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
The expanded council accommodates additional personalities in key areas, including election planning, youth mobilisation, infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, civil society engagement, entertainment, media relations and grassroots mobilisation.
Among the prominent figures named are Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, former Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai and former Senate President Victor Ndoma-Egba.
The council, inaugurated on October 14, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, is chaired by President Tinubu, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda serving as vice chairmen.
Former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari serves as Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma occupies the position of Secretary.
The ruling party emphasised that effective collaboration among council members remains essential to achieving its electoral objectives.
The latest appointments further demonstrate the APC’s efforts to consolidate its political structures, broaden stakeholder participation and strengthen engagement with communities nationwide.
As preparations for the 2027 presidential election intensify, the expanded council is expected to play a significant role in coordinating campaign activities and advancing the party’s re-election agenda.
