The Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued commitment to economic reform, institutional development and national transformation, describing his administration’s determination to address Nigeria’s long-standing challenges as worthy of recognition.
In a statement issued by the Convener of the organisation, Razaq Olokoba, CDG said the task of governing Nigeria requires difficult decisions, resilience and a willingness to pursue reforms whose benefits may take time to fully materialise.
According to the group, President Tinubu assumed office at a period when the country was confronted by significant economic and structural challenges. Rather than avoid difficult decisions, the administration has pursued a reform-oriented approach aimed at repositioning the economy and strengthening the foundations for sustainable development.
Olokoba said leadership should be assessed not only by immediate outcomes but also by the willingness to confront difficult national problems and create systems capable of delivering lasting progress.
“We commend Mr. President for his courage and determination to pursue reforms in the national interest. Nigeria requires leadership that is prepared to confront difficult challenges and make decisions with the future of the country in mind,” he stated.
The Campaign for Dignity in Governance said the administration’s focus on economic restructuring, investment, infrastructure, institutional strengthening and improved revenue mobilisation reflects an effort to create a stronger foundation for national development.
The organisation also acknowledged that reforms can create difficulties for citizens in the short term and stressed the importance of ensuring that economic policies are accompanied by measures that protect vulnerable households and expand opportunities for ordinary Nigerians.
“Reform must ultimately translate into better lives for citizens. We therefore encourage the administration to remain focused on policies that create jobs, strengthen businesses, empower young people, support families and improve access to essential services,” Olokoba added.
CDG further commended the President for maintaining attention on infrastructure and economic investment, noting that Nigeria’s development requires sustained investment in transportation, energy, technology, agriculture, industry and human capital.
The organisation said these sectors have the potential to create employment, attract investment and improve Nigeria’s competitiveness.
It also called for continued collaboration between the Federal Government, state governments, the private sector, civil society and communities, stressing that national development cannot be achieved by government alone.
According to CDG, citizens also have a responsibility to contribute positively to the nation’s development by supporting productive initiatives, respecting institutions and participating constructively in democratic processes.
The organisation described President Tinubu as a leader with the political experience required to navigate Nigeria’s complex political environment and urged him to continue engaging widely with Nigerians.
“We believe Nigeria’s future must be built through dialogue, accountability, inclusion and responsible leadership. The President should continue listening to citizens, engaging stakeholders and ensuring that the benefits of development reach communities across the country.”
The Campaign for Dignity in Governance also encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the country’s future, noting that national transformation is a gradual process requiring consistency and collective effort.
The group said it would continue to support policies and programmes that promote good governance, economic opportunity, institutional development, national unity and improved living standards.
Olokoba concluded by expressing confidence that continued implementation of well-designed reforms, stronger accountability and sustained investment in human development can contribute to a more prosperous and stable Nigeria.

We commend the President for the direction of his administration and encourage him to remain focused on delivering measurable improvements in the lives of Nigerians.
