Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in members of the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), the Audit Service Commission (ASC) and newly appointed Permanent Secretaries as part of efforts to strengthen public administration and improve service delivery across the state.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at Lagos House, Ikeja, where the governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to approach their responsibilities with integrity, professionalism and dedication to the people of Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu, who announced the development through his official social media account, emphasised that the appointments carried significant responsibilities, given the important roles the officials would play in shaping government operations and public service delivery.
According to the governor, decisions taken by the newly inaugurated commission members and Permanent Secretaries would have direct implications for the daily lives of Lagos residents and the quality of services provided by the state government.
He stressed the need for public officers to demonstrate accountability, transparency and a strong sense of duty while carrying out their official responsibilities.
The governor further reiterated his administration’s commitment to building an efficient public service capable of delivering measurable results and responding effectively to the needs of citizens.

The Local Government Service Commission plays an important role in the administration of local government personnel, while the Audit Service Commission contributes to accountability and oversight within the public sector.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are also expected to provide administrative leadership and support the implementation of government policies across their respective ministries and departments.
