President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he is expected to participate in another grand political rally as part of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The President’s departure from Uyo follows his earlier engagements in Akwa Ibom, where he was received by political leaders, government officials, party faithful and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His visit to Port Harcourt is expected to further strengthen the party’s mobilisation efforts and demonstrate its commitment to consolidating support across the South-South region.
The rally is expected to attract prominent APC leaders, elected political office holders, party stakeholders, youth groups, women organisations and thousands of supporters from Rivers State and neighbouring communities.
The gathering will also provide an opportunity for the President and other party leaders to engage directly with supporters, highlight the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration and communicate the party’s vision for the country’s future.
Tinubu’s movement between the two states forms part of his wider political engagements aimed at strengthening the APC’s grassroots structures and building momentum ahead of the next general elections.
The President’s presence at the Port Harcourt rally is expected to energise party members and reinforce the importance of unity, loyalty and collective participation in the party’s political activities.
The two-state visit underscores the APC’s growing mobilisation efforts in the South-South, a region considered strategically important to the party’s political calculations ahead of 2027.
Party supporters are expected to use the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to the APC and express support for President Tinubu’s leadership and Renewed Hope agenda.
