
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, warmly received His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos following the President’s attendance at the historic coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described the President’s return as a homecoming and expressed his pleasure in welcoming him back to Lagos. The Governor commended President Tinubu for his enduring commitment to honoring Nigeria’s cultural institutions and traditional heritage.
In a separate statement, Governor Sanwo-Olu joined President Tinubu and other dignitaries in celebrating the ascension of Oba Ladoja to the revered throne of the Olubadan. He congratulated the new monarch on his coronation and acknowledged the significance of the moment, not just for the people of Ibadan, but for the entirety of Oyo State and Yorubaland.
“This is a moment of immense pride for Ibadan and a testament to the rich traditions and deep-rooted values of its people,” Sanwo-Olu said. “The coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan represents continuity in leadership, the strength of our heritage, and the enduring wisdom of the Ibadan people.”
