The Lagos State Printing Corporation (LSPC) marked a historic and symbolic milestone on Friday, 23rd, 2026, with the commissioning of the newly renovated Alhaji G.K. Oseni Central Mosque within its premises by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The Governor was represented at the event by his Special Adviser on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Muhammed Tajudeen, who officially performed the commissioning on his behalf during a special Jumat service held at the mosque.
The event attracted a distinguished gathering of top government functionaries, senior public officials, religious leaders, members of the LSPC Management and staff, as well as Muslim faithful from neighbouring communities, all of whom came together to witness the unveiling of the refurbished place of worship.
Speaking during the commissioning, Dr. Tajudeen conveyed Governor Sanwo-Olu’s goodwill message, describing the mosque as more than a physical structure, but a profound symbol of faith, unity, and institutional heritage. He commended the Management of the Lagos State Printing Corporation for its commitment to preserving both infrastructure and history, noting that the renovation reflects the State Government’s dedication to promoting moral values and religious harmony within public institutions.
Dr. Tajudeen further highlighted the significance of naming the mosque after Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Oseni, describing it as a well-deserved honour for a visionary leader whose contributions laid a solid foundation for the growth and development of the Corporation. According to him, recognising pioneers and sustaining their legacies strengthens institutions and inspires future generations to uphold excellence and service.
The commissioning ceremony was accompanied by prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Lagos State, the Corporation, and the nation at large. The event underscored the State Government’s inclusive approach to governance and its support for initiatives that foster unity, spirituality, and cultural continuity across all sectors
