
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of a new Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), supervisors, and advisers for Epe Local Government Area as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots administration and improve service delivery.
The approval was formally communicated to the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government for immediate implementation and strict compliance. The appointments are expected to reinforce the administrative structure of the local government and enhance the efficiency of governance at the grassroots level.
According to officials, the move forms part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that local governments remain effective in delivering essential services and implementing development initiatives within their communities. By strengthening leadership structures at the local level, the government aims to promote better coordination of programmes and policies that directly impact residents.
The newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government will be responsible for overseeing administrative operations and ensuring smooth coordination between departments within the local council. Meanwhile, the supervisors and advisers are expected to provide strategic support in key sectors, helping the local government implement policies and programmes aligned with the development agenda of the state.
