
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed confidence in the preparedness and strategic direction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this after visiting the party’s presidential and gubernatorial campaign offices to assess the level of preparedness and ongoing activities as the political journey towards the 2027 elections gathers momentum.
The Governor said the campaign committee had fully commenced strategic planning, with members focused on mapping out the road ahead, strengthening coordination and refining strategies aimed at securing victory for the party across the state.
According to him, substantial work is already taking place behind the scenes, with party leaders, campaign officials and candidates demonstrating a strong sense of commitment and purpose.
He noted that the party’s presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, gubernatorial candidate Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as well as other APC candidates contesting various elective positions across Lagos, remain firmly committed to the party’s objectives.
Sanwo-Olu expressed satisfaction with the energy and determination demonstrated by members of the campaign team, describing the level of coordination as encouraging.
He stressed the importance of unity and alignment among party members, noting that a well-organised campaign structure would be critical to achieving the APC’s objectives in the forthcoming elections.
The Governor said the party remained focused on building on the achievements recorded in Lagos while advancing its development agenda and sustaining the state’s growth trajectory.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the APC leadership and candidates to working together to consolidate the progress made in the state and deliver further development to Lagos residents.
Sanwo-Olu urged party members and supporters to remain united, focused and committed as preparations intensify, expressing optimism that the APC would secure victory across the board in the 2027 elections.
He added that the collective goal remained to keep Lagos moving forward while building on the state’s momentum through effective leadership and purposeful governance.
