
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, scale, and contribute meaningfully to economic development.
The governor made this known while attending the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) 100-Leader Convening and Gala Night held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BCG Lagos at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Iganmu, Lagos.
The event brought together business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss emerging opportunities and challenges in today’s rapidly evolving global economy. Discussions focused on strategies for sustaining business growth amid economic uncertainties and changing market realities.
Speaking after the event, Sanwo-Olu noted that the conversations provided valuable insights into the realities facing businesses across the world. He acknowledged that growing and sustaining businesses in a fracturing global economy remains a major challenge but emphasized that Lagos has consistently demonstrated resilience and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities.
According to the governor, the Lagos State Government remains focused on implementing policies and initiatives that encourage investment, innovation, and enterprise development. He stressed that creating a business-friendly environment is critical to attracting investors and enabling companies to establish long-term roots in the state.
Sanwo-Olu further highlighted Lagos’ position as Nigeria’s commercial hub, noting that the state continues to offer immense opportunities for local and international businesses seeking growth and expansion.
The governor congratulated BCG Lagos on reaching the significant milestone of a decade of operations in Nigeria, commending the organisation for its contributions to thought leadership, strategic advisory services, and economic development.
He also praised the consulting firm’s role in shaping ideas and policies that support sustainable growth, innovation, and competitiveness across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.
