
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on his victory in the recently concluded governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of the governor’s leadership and achievements in office.
In a congratulatory message, Sanwo-Olu said the overwhelming support received by Oyebanji across all 16 local government areas of Ekiti State reflected the confidence and trust the people have in his administration. He noted that the election result demonstrated public appreciation for the developmental strides recorded under Oyebanji’s leadership over the past four years.
The Lagos governor commended the people of Ekiti State for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of maintaining democratic values and ensuring elections remain peaceful and credible.
Sanwo-Olu also expressed gratitude to members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) whose commitment, hard work, and unity contributed significantly to the party’s success at the polls. According to him, the victory was the result of collective efforts by party faithful who remained focused on advancing the party’s vision for progress and development.
He described Oyebanji as a dedicated leader whose administration has worked to improve the welfare of Ekiti residents through various developmental initiatives and reforms.
“As Governor Oyebanji begins a new term, I am confident he will remain focused on delivering even greater progress and prosperity for the people of Ekiti State,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
The governor expressed optimism that the renewed mandate would provide an opportunity for Oyebanji to consolidate on existing achievements and implement new programmes aimed at accelerating economic growth, infrastructure development, and social advancement.
