
Lagos State has taken another significant step towards hosting the National Intermediate Games with the official unveiling of the tournament’s logo and mascot, marking the beginning of activities leading to the highly anticipated sporting event.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja, brought together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s sports sector, including officials of the National Sports Commission (NSC), the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), members of the Main Organising Committee (MOC), and the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
The colourful event underscored Lagos State’s commitment to delivering a world-class competition that will showcase emerging sporting talents from across the country while promoting youth development through sports.
Speaking during the ceremony, officials described the unveiling of the logo and mascot as an important milestone in preparations for the Games. They noted that the visual identity of the competition reflects the spirit of unity, excellence, resilience and healthy competition that the event seeks to promote among young athletes.
The National Intermediate Games is expected to provide a platform for discovering and nurturing the next generation of Nigerian sports stars. Participants from different states will compete in various sporting events, creating opportunities for talent identification and national integration.
