Lagos State Governor and Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, fellow governors and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s Mega Rally in Osogbo ahead of the Saturday governorship election in Osun State.
The rally provided an opportunity for APC leaders to mobilise support for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, while highlighting his experience and readiness to serve the people of Osun State.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described Oyebamiji as an experienced public servant who has contributed to the development of Osun over the years. He noted that his understanding of governance, commitment to public service and record of service have positioned him to effectively take on the responsibilities of leading the state.
Speaking as the Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his solidarity with the APC and expressed confidence in the party’s candidate.
He said the APC remains committed to providing purposeful leadership and sustainable development for the people of Osun State, adding that Oyebamiji has the capacity and experience required to advance the state.
Sanwo-Olu also called on residents of Osun State to participate actively in the electoral process by coming out in large numbers on Saturday to exercise their civic responsibility.
He urged voters to support the APC and cast their ballots for Oyebamiji, stressing that the candidate is prepared to serve the people with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Mega Rally brought together prominent APC leaders, supporters and stakeholders from across Osun State as the party intensified its campaign ahead of the governorship poll.
