Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, describing it as a key component of the state’s development agenda.
Sanwo-Olu said the Lagos State Government was sustaining investments in roads, transportation facilities and other critical infrastructure across the state to support economic activities and improve the movement of people and goods.
The Governor stated that the administration’s infrastructure initiatives were designed to respond to the needs of Lagos’ growing population while creating an enabling environment for businesses, residents and investors to thrive.
According to him, deliberate investments in infrastructure remain essential to the continued development of Lagos, particularly as the state expands economically and attracts increasing numbers of residents and businesses.
Sanwo-Olu noted that improved road networks and transportation infrastructure would contribute to more efficient movement across the state while supporting commerce and other economic activities.
He said the government would continue to work across different parts of Lagos to address infrastructure needs and strengthen facilities that are critical to the state’s economic growth.
The Governor explained that the ongoing efforts reflected his administration’s commitment to developing infrastructure that would serve both present and future generations of Lagos residents.
He acknowledged that despite the progress recorded in infrastructure development, more work remained to be done across the state. He therefore assured residents that the government would remain focused on identifying areas requiring attention and implementing projects that would improve the quality and functionality of public infrastructure.
Sanwo-Olu said the administration’s approach was aimed at ensuring that infrastructure development kept pace with the needs of a rapidly growing Lagos.
He added that the government would continue to prioritise projects capable of improving connectivity, supporting businesses and enhancing the overall development of the state.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s determination to sustain its infrastructure drive as part of efforts to build what he described as “A Greater Lagos for All.”
