Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, maintain party unity and communicate the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing reforms to Nigerians.
Sanwo-Olu made the call after joining APC leaders and members at the South-West Stakeholders’ Engagement, where participants reviewed the party’s progress and aligned priorities ahead of the tasks before them.
The governor emphasised that the party’s campaign efforts must focus on demonstrating how the Federal Government’s policies and reforms are contributing to the country’s development.
According to him, building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria requires collective commitment, unity of purpose and the willingness to take difficult decisions that can produce lasting benefits for the country.
He stressed that APC members must remain focused on communicating the objectives of the President’s vision while ensuring that citizens understand both the progress achieved and the challenges that remain.
Sanwo-Olu also highlighted the importance of strengthening the party’s presence across constituencies through sustained engagement with grassroots supporters and community members.
He noted that effective political mobilisation goes beyond campaign activities, requiring consistent interaction with the people and a clear understanding of their concerns, expectations and everyday experiences.
The governor urged party leaders and members to work together in promoting the APC’s agenda, maintaining internal cohesion and ensuring that the party remains connected to the electorate.
He further stressed that political communication should focus on issues that directly affect citizens, adding that public understanding of government policies and their intended benefits remains essential to building confidence and support.
The South-West stakeholders’ engagement provided an opportunity for party leaders to assess their progress, coordinate strategies and reinforce their commitment to the APC’s political objectives.
Sanwo-Olu’s remarks underscored the importance of unity, grassroots participation and effective communication as the party prepares for its forthcoming political activities.
