Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has reiterated his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda during the Progressive Governors Forum meeting held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
The meeting, which brought together governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as a platform for reflection on Nigeria’s current trajectory and for charting a united course toward inclusive national development.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, alongside his colleagues, reviewed the progress made so far under President Tinubu’s leadership, particularly in the areas of economic recovery, security, and structural reforms. He noted that while challenges remain, there are visible signs of improvement in key sectors, driven by deliberate policy actions at both federal and state levels.
“Our discussions focused on the gains recorded so far and the need to intensify efforts that directly impact the lives of Nigerians. We are fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, and we remain committed to its successful implementation across all states,” the governor said.
Emphasizing the importance of collaboration between states and the federal government, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the shared vision among APC governors to foster inclusive growth, strengthen local economies, and accelerate development at the grassroots level.
“The essence of our engagement is to ensure that growth is inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered. We are working collectively to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that no one is left behind in the journey to a better Nigeria,” he added.
The forum concluded with a renewed pledge from the governors to deepen reforms and deliver democratic dividends that reflect the aspirations of all Nigerians.
