
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday attended the ground-breaking ceremony of the new Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) office complex in Ikeja, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to strengthen security infrastructure.
The proposed complex, which will serve as the permanent headquarters of the Trust Fund, is being generously donated by renowned philanthropist and businessman, Sir (Dr.) Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu, MON. Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a powerful demonstration of private-sector commitment to public safety and development in Lagos State.
According to the governor, security remains a top priority for his administration because it directly affects every family, community, and business operating in the state. He emphasized that a safe environment is essential for economic growth, social stability, and improved quality of life for residents.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that the state government will continue to invest in strategic partnerships, modern technology, personnel training, and critical infrastructure to enhance the effectiveness of security agencies. He explained that the Lagos State Security Trust Fund plays a vital role in mobilizing resources and coordinating support for law enforcement and security operations across the state.
He also commended individuals, corporate organizations, and stakeholders who have consistently contributed to the Fund, stressing that their generosity has made a tangible impact on security outcomes in Lagos. The governor assured that the new office complex would not only provide a functional and efficient workspace for the Trust Fund but would also stand as a symbol of collaboration between government and the private sector for the common good.
