The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), has handed over the newly completed Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) office at Liasu, Alimosho, following the successful completion of a final inspection of the facility.
The handover, which took place on Friday, marks another milestone in the State Government’s ongoing efforts to provide modern, functional and fit-for-purpose infrastructure that supports effective public service delivery across Lagos State.
The Liasu VIS facility is one of 13 VIS projects being delivered by LASIAMA across the State. The projects are aimed at improving the working environment for personnel and enhancing the quality and efficiency of services provided to motorists and residents.
Other completed VIS projects include offices at Victoria Island, Igbogbo, Olowu and Cele, while work continues on the remaining locations.
The completion of the Liasu facility underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to upgrading public infrastructure and ensuring that government agencies have suitable facilities to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
The new office is expected to provide a more conducive environment for VIS operations while improving accessibility and service delivery for motorists and residents within the Alimosho axis.
Through continued investment in infrastructure, the State Government is strengthening public institutions and creating facilities that are better equipped to meet the needs of Lagos’ growing population.
The completion of the Liasu VIS office is therefore another step towards achieving more efficient, organised and accessible government services across Lagos State.
