
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday attended the grand reception organized to welcome the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The event, which took place at the Polo Ground in Jos, Plateau State, attracted top party leaders, elected officials, and members of the APC from across the country. Governor Sanwo-Olu described the occasion as a significant moment for the party, reflecting its growing strength and national outlook.
Speaking at the event, the Lagos governor said the reception provided an opportunity to engage with party members and leaders, as well as to reaffirm a shared commitment to strengthening the APC at all levels. He emphasized the importance of unity, collaboration, and collective responsibility in advancing the party’s vision for national development.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that the inclusion of Governor Mutfwang into the APC family would further enhance the party’s capacity to deliver good governance and responsive leadership to Nigerians. He stressed that the APC remains committed to policies and reforms that promote economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development across the country.
The Lagos governor also aligned the gathering with the Renewed Hope agenda of the party’s National Leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to him, the agenda provides a clear roadmap for addressing national challenges and improving the welfare of citizens through purposeful leadership and strategic reforms.
“I wish Governor Mutfwang well as he takes this important step, and I look forward to working closely with him in the interest of good governance and national progress,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He added that cooperation among governors and party leaders remains critical to building a stronger APC and achieving meaningful progress for all Nigerians, regardless of region or background.
