Convener of the Campaign for Dignity Governance, Razaq Olokoba, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as purposeful leadership and a governance approach focused on long-term national stability, reform, and economic repositioning.
Speaking during a recent engagement in Lagos, Olokoba expressed deep appreciation for the President’s efforts in navigating the complexities of governance in a challenging economic and social environment. He noted that leadership at the national level requires courage, resilience, and a clear sense of direction, especially at a time when citizens are eager to see tangible improvements in their daily lives.
According to him, while current economic realities may present short-term difficulties, it is important to recognise that structural reforms often demand patience, discipline, and consistency before yielding visible and lasting results. He emphasised that the true essence of governance lies not only in immediate relief measures but in building sustainable systems that will support long-term national growth and stability.
“Leadership is not always defined by short-term outcomes. It is defined by the ability to take necessary decisions that secure the future. What we are witnessing is a government that is making deliberate efforts to reposition the economy and strengthen key institutions for long-term impact,” Olokoba stated.
He further noted that the President’s commitment to economic reforms, institutional strengthening, and policy direction reflects a broader vision aimed at stabilising the country and creating a more predictable environment for investment, growth, and development.
Olokoba also highlighted the importance of consistency in governance, stating that policy continuity and clear direction are essential for building investor confidence, strengthening national institutions, and ensuring that reforms are effectively implemented across all sectors.
In a symbolic and humanitarian gesture to mark the birthday of the President, Olokoba went beyond words of commendation by organising the distribution of food packages to members of the public, particularly targeting vulnerable individuals and families within local communities. The initiative, he noted, was a way of celebrating leadership through service, while also reinforcing the values of compassion, inclusion, and shared responsibility.

According to him, such acts of giving reflect the spirit of leadership that prioritises the well-being of the people and encourages others to contribute positively to society.
“As we celebrate Mr. President, it is important that we also reflect the values of service and compassion. Sharing food packages during this period was our own modest way of identifying with the people and promoting a culture of care and responsibility,” he said.

Olokoba used the opportunity to extend warm wishes to the President, praying for continued strength, wisdom, and good health as he leads the nation through a critical phase of its development.
“We appreciate the efforts of Mr. President and recognise the direction in which the country is moving. Governance requires strength, patience, and focus, and we wish him a great year ahead, filled with success, wisdom, and the capacity to lead Nigeria to greater heights,” he added.
He further stressed that Nigeria’s development journey requires collective responsibility, noting that citizens, institutions, and leaders all have important roles to play in building a stronger, more stable, and more prosperous country. According to him, while government provides leadership and direction, the support and cooperation of the people remain critical in achieving national goals.
Olokoba also called for sustained engagement between government and citizens, emphasising the importance of communication, transparency, and accountability in building trust and ensuring that policies are well understood and supported by the public.
He noted that as reforms continue to unfold, it is important for stakeholders across sectors to remain constructive, patient, and committed to national progress, rather than focusing solely on immediate outcomes.

The Campaign for Dignity Governance, through its Convener, reaffirmed its support for policies and initiatives that promote stability, economic growth, and inclusive development. The group noted that while challenges remain, the foundation currently being laid through reforms has the potential to deliver long-term benefits for Nigerians across all sectors.
Olokoba concluded by urging continued focus on key areas such as economic diversification, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and institutional strengthening, noting that these remain critical pillars for sustainable national development.
