The The Youth Bureau has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as a bold and thoughtful decision in the selection of Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, noting that the move reflects vision, political depth, and a strong commitment to sustaining progress in governance.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Adekunle Adeosun, the group described the President as a visionary leader whose approach to leadership continues to inspire confidence among young Nigerians.
According to the Youth Bureau, the decision to entrust responsibility to Hamzat demonstrates a clear understanding of the importance of competence, experience, and continuity in governance.
“This is a decision that speaks volumes about leadership. It reflects a President who is not only visionary but also deeply strategic in his thinking. President Tinubu has once again shown that he possesses one of the highest levels of political intelligence, with a strong sense of direction and goodwill for the nation,” the statement read.
The group described Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as a brilliant and dependable public officer whose contributions to governance, particularly in Lagos State, have been both impactful and consistent.
It noted that his role in supporting the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been instrumental in delivering key policies and ensuring administrative efficiency across multiple sectors.
According to the Youth Bureau, Hamzat represents a new generation of leadership defined by intellect, humility, and a results-driven approach.
“Hamzat is not just a public officer; he is a symbol of competence and reliability. He has consistently demonstrated the capacity to deliver, to collaborate, and to build bridges across different sectors of governance,” Adeosun stated.
The group further emphasised that the decision reinforces the importance of continuity in governance, particularly in sustaining the achievements already recorded under the current administration in Lagos State.
It noted that progress in areas such as infrastructure development, education, transportation, and economic growth must be preserved and strengthened, and that leaders like Hamzat are critical to achieving this objective.
“The dream of a greater society, where governance works for the people, will not be lost under his watch. This decision ensures that progress is not interrupted but sustained and expanded,” the statement added.
The Youth Bureau also highlighted the broader impact of the decision on young people, noting that leadership choices send strong signals about the direction of governance and the value placed on competence and integrity.
It stressed that young Nigerians need to see examples of effective leadership in order to remain inspired and engaged in nation-building.
“When young people see capable leaders being entrusted with responsibility, it builds confidence in the system and encourages greater participation in governance and public service,” Adeosun said.
The group concluded by expressing optimism about the future, noting that the combination of visionary leadership at the top and competent individuals in key positions creates a strong foundation for sustainable development.
“With this decision, Nigerians can be reassured that governance is in safe hands. It is a move that reflects wisdom, vision, and a deep commitment to progress,” the statement concluded.
