Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to attracting investments, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable economic growth as he addressed participants at the Invest Lagos conference.
Speaking at the investment summit, the governor delivered a strong message to local and international investors, emphasizing that Lagos remains fully prepared to welcome new investments and partnerships that will contribute to economic transformation and prosperity.
According to Sanwo-Olu, Invest Lagos 3.0 provides a strategic platform for investors, policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to explore opportunities across key sectors of the economy and build collaborations that deliver long-term value.
The governor highlighted Lagos’ position as Africa’s economic powerhouse, noting that the state continues to implement policies and reforms aimed at creating a stable, secure, and business-friendly environment. He stressed that the administration is committed to improving infrastructure, strengthening institutions, and promoting innovation to ensure businesses can thrive.
Sanwo-Olu stated that Lagos is not only responding to global economic trends but is actively shaping the future through investments in technology, transportation, education, healthcare, and the creative economy. These efforts, he said, are designed to unlock new opportunities and enhance the state’s competitiveness on the global stage.
He encouraged investors to take advantage of Lagos’ vast market, youthful population, strategic location, and expanding infrastructure network, describing the state as the gateway to Africa’s growing economy.
The governor further reiterated that collaboration between government and the private sector remains essential for achieving inclusive growth and sustainable development.
“As we gather at Invest Lagos 3.0, we are reaffirming a simple message: Lagos is ready for investment, innovation, and growth,” he said.
The summit is expected to strengthen investor confidence and reinforce Lagos’ reputation as one of Africa’s most attractive destinations for business and economic development.
