Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has called for unity among leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West as the party intensifies efforts to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Hamzat made the call during a regional stakeholders’ meeting held in Ikeja, Lagos, where APC leaders and representatives from across the South-West gathered to discuss the party’s future and strengthen support for the President’s second-term ambition.
The deputy governor emphasised that the party’s strength lies in its unity, shared purpose and collective commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
He noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu is anchored on public service, economic progress and the delivery of policies designed to create opportunities for citizens.
According to Hamzat, the APC’s development efforts across the region have focused on improving infrastructure, expanding opportunities and fulfilling promises made to the people.
He stressed that sustained collaboration among party leaders and stakeholders would be essential to advancing these objectives and maintaining public confidence in the party’s leadership.
Hamzat further stated that the South-West must remain committed to supporting the President’s vision of building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria, adding that collective determination would help drive the agenda forward.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to review the party’s political direction, strengthen regional cooperation and reinforce their commitment to its objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The deputy governor expressed confidence in the party’s ability to sustain its development agenda through unity, effective mobilisation and continued engagement with the electorate.
He maintained that the APC’s focus must remain on service delivery, infrastructure development and policies that improve the welfare of citizens.
The gathering reflects ongoing efforts by APC leaders in the South-West to consolidate support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
