Governor of Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Government to creating a business-friendly environment that attracts investment and promotes economic growth across the state.
The governor made this known on Wednesday while receiving the Governing Council of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce during a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina. The delegation was led by the President of the Chamber, Sheriff Balogun.
Speaking during the meeting, Sanwo-Olu said Lagos remains focused on policies and reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business, expanding economic opportunities and strengthening partnerships that will benefit residents and investors alike. He noted that collaboration between the public and private sectors is critical to sustaining economic development and positioning Lagos as Africa’s leading commercial hub.
According to the governor, strategic partnerships with organisations such as the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce will further enhance trade relations between Nigeria and the United States while opening more opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs and investors.
Sanwo-Olu also expressed appreciation to the Chamber after he was conferred with the title of Honorary Life Patron in recognition of his administration’s support for commerce, investment and economic development.
The governor described the honour as a motivation to continue building stronger commercial ties between both countries for the benefit of citizens and businesses.
He added that Lagos State would continue to pursue initiatives that encourage investment, support enterprise growth and strengthen international cooperation in key sectors of the economy.
