
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, paid a festive visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described the visit as an important moment of unity, reflection, and continued collaboration between Lagos State and the Federal Government. He noted that it is always a pleasure to welcome President Tinubu back home to Lagos, especially during significant religious celebrations that promote peace, sacrifice, and national togetherness.
The Governor stated that the visit also provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strong working relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government in advancing policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians. According to him, cooperation between both levels of government remains essential to achieving sustainable development and delivering meaningful progress to the people.
Sanwo-Olu further emphasized the importance of Eid-el-Kabir as a season that inspires compassion, faith, sacrifice, and unity among citizens regardless of background or political affiliation. He urged Nigerians to continue embracing peace, tolerance, and mutual support as the country works toward greater economic growth and stability.
