The Epe Youth Forum has welcomed the recent commendation of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, by the Nigerian Senate, describing the recognition as a clear affirmation of the Governor’s unwavering commitment to transformational leadership and sustainable development.
In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Adewale Adeosun, the Forum stated that Governor Sanwo-Olu has continued to distinguish himself through visionary policies, strategic infrastructure investments, youth-focused programmes, and reforms aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of Lagos residents.
According to the Forum, the commendation by the Senate reflects the growing national appreciation of the developmental milestones being recorded across Lagos State under the Governor’s leadership.
“The recognition by the Senate is a proud moment not only for Governor Sanwo-Olu but for every Lagosian who has witnessed the steady progress taking place across our state. It confirms that purposeful leadership and dedication to public service do not go unnoticed,” the statement read.
The Epe Youth Forum noted that the administration has continued to prioritise investments in transportation, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, innovation, youth empowerment, and infrastructure, thereby strengthening Lagos’ position as Nigeria’s economic hub.
The organisation further commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for maintaining focus on projects that have long-term economic and social benefits, particularly those that create opportunities for young people and improve the ease of doing business within the state.
According to Adeosun, many young people are increasingly inspired by leaders who deliver practical solutions rather than political rhetoric, adding that Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration has demonstrated that governance can produce tangible results when guided by vision, competence, and accountability.
The Forum also acknowledged the Governor’s commitment to fostering collaboration between government, communities, development partners, and the private sector to drive sustainable growth.
It urged young people across Lagos to continue supporting initiatives that promote peace, innovation, entrepreneurship, civic participation, and responsible leadership.
The Epe Youth Forum expressed confidence that Governor Sanwo-Olu would continue to consolidate on the achievements of his administration and further strengthen Lagos’ reputation as one of Africa’s leading centres for investment, innovation, and development.
The organisation congratulated the Governor on the Senate’s commendation and described the honour as well deserved, expressing optimism that his administration would continue to deliver policies and projects that benefit present and future generations.
