The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election.
Sanwo-Olu described President Tinubu’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by members of the ruling party across the country. He noted that the President has continued to demonstrate courage, resilience and commitment in steering the affairs of the nation through a period of economic and political reforms.
According to the governor, Tinubu’s leadership has remained focused on laying a strong foundation for national growth, institutional stability and long-term prosperity. He said the President’s vision for Nigeria continues to inspire confidence among party members and citizens who believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of the administration.
Sanwo-Olu stated that the APC’s decision to present Tinubu as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election underscores the party’s belief in continuity, experience and purposeful governance. He added that the President’s track record in public service, democratic leadership and economic reforms has positioned him as a leader capable of advancing Nigeria’s development goals.
The Lagos governor also commended APC stakeholders, delegates and party faithful for their commitment to the democratic process and the unity of the party. He expressed optimism that the APC would remain focused on delivering good governance and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
