Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned the new IBILE Oil and Gas Corporation Integrated Energy Hub in Oshodi, describing the project as a strategic investment aimed at improving energy supply and supporting economic activities across the state.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the Integrated Energy Hub was established to address fuel supply gaps while providing practical relief to residents, businesses and other energy users in the Oshodi axis and surrounding communities.
According to the governor, the facility reflects his administration’s commitment to developing infrastructure that directly improves the quality of life for Lagosians. He noted that access to reliable energy remains critical to sustaining commercial activities and enhancing productivity in Africa’s largest economic hub.
Sanwo-Olu explained that the project would strengthen the distribution of petroleum products, reduce supply challenges and contribute to a more efficient energy value chain. He added that the hub is expected to support businesses, ease transportation-related energy needs and stimulate economic growth within the state.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue investing in projects that deliver tangible benefits to the people, create economic value and strengthen Lagos’ position as a leading commercial destination.
“We will continue to invest in projects that make life easier for our people, create value and keep Lagos moving forward,” he said.
The IBILE Oil and Gas Corporation Integrated Energy Hub is one of several initiatives introduced by the Lagos State Government to improve service delivery, expand critical infrastructure and promote sustainable development.
Residents and stakeholders expressed optimism that the new facility would enhance access to petroleum products, improve operational efficiency in the energy sector and contribute to the state’s broader economic development agenda.
The commissioning marks another milestone in the government’s efforts to build resilient infrastructure capable of meeting the growing demands of Lagos’ expanding population and business community.
