He highlighted several reforms and initiatives introduced by the government to strengthen the state’s digital ecosystem, including the Lagos State Electricity Law, expansion of fibre connectivity, promotion of digital skills and stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Sanwo-Olu explained that these measures are aimed at positioning Lagos as a leading technology destination in Africa while also supporting job creation, innovation and sustainable economic growth.
He noted that the commissioning of the hyperscale data centre represents another major step toward building a modern 21st-century economy capable of driving national development.
The governor added that Lagos would continue to support investments that enhance technological advancement and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global digital space.
