
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Government to creating a business-friendly environment that encourages investment, innovation and economic growth.
The governor made this known while receiving the Management Team of Tatum Bank Limited at Lagos House, Marina, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between the private sector and government.
Sanwo-Olu stated that Lagos remains the economic and financial hub of Nigeria due to its strategic policies, expanding infrastructure and thriving business environment. He noted that partnerships between government institutions and financial organisations are essential for driving sustainable development and improving economic opportunities for residents.
During the meeting, discussions reportedly focused on the growth of the financial sector, investment opportunities and the role of innovative banking solutions in supporting businesses and entrepreneurs across the state. The governor stressed the importance of financial institutions in promoting economic inclusion, supporting small businesses and encouraging innovation among young people.
He further explained that the Lagos State Government is committed to implementing policies that will attract investors, strengthen confidence in the economy and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. According to him, collaboration with private sector organisations remains a key strategy in achieving long-term economic development in the state.
Sanwo-Olu also commended the management of Tatum Bank Limited for its interest in contributing to the economic growth of Lagos and Nigeria at large. He assured the delegation of the government’s willingness to work with stakeholders whose vision aligns with the state’s developmental agenda.
The courtesy visit highlighted the growing relationship between the Lagos State Government and key players in the financial sector as efforts continue to position Lagos as a leading centre for commerce, investment and innovation in Africa.
