
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed gratitude to Lagosians for their unwavering support over the past seven years, describing their trust and cooperation as key factors behind the achievements recorded by his administration.
Reflecting on his journey in office, the governor recalled the promise he made when he first took the oath of office to serve diligently, listen to the people, and build a Lagos that works for everyone. He noted that despite numerous challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and economic difficulties, his administration remained committed to delivering on its mandate.
Sanwo-Olu highlighted significant progress made across critical sectors of the state’s economy and public service. According to him, investments in transportation, healthcare, education, housing, urban renewal, and youth empowerment have contributed to improving the quality of life for residents and strengthening Lagos’ position as a leading city in Africa.
The governor also referenced the recently concluded ministerial press briefings, during which members of his cabinet presented detailed reports on the administration’s performance and achievements. He stated that the exercise was part of efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and public engagement in governance.
While acknowledging the collective efforts that have driven development in the state, Sanwo-Olu stressed that the achievements recorded by his administration belong to all Lagosians who have supported government initiatives and contributed to the state’s growth.
He further extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said has provided support for development across various sectors in Lagos State.
The governor also thanked civil servants, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, political leaders, and residents for their contributions to the state’s progress.
He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the pace of development and working with all stakeholders to build a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Lagos for future generations.
